Coping with questions 2

Listed here are some methods of dealing with questions when you find yourself the SPEAKER:

When you do not wish to reply:

    * To be trustworthy, I am not likely the person to ask about that.

When someone interrupts you:

    * Sorry, might I simply finish?

When you lastly understand what they need to know:

    * Oh I see. So what you're asking is …

When you realise they do not perceive what you stated:

    * Maybe I didn't make myself clear. What I was attempting to say was …

In the event you don't need to tell everyone:

    * Maybe we will speak about it when I have finished.

To close off the presentation:

    * If there are no more questions, we must always cease there.

Listed here are some ways of getting an answer if you end up the QUESTIONER:

When the answer doesn't provde the information you need:

    * Sure, that may be so, however what I want to know is …

When the reply is evasive:

    * Yes, but you still haven't answered my question.

If you're sceptical and wish more element:

    * Well, I am not so sure. Can you give us an example as an example that?

For those who don't agree:

    * That may be so, but I still suppose ...
