Cause and effect

If you find yourself giving a presentation, your job is to not only present the details but additionally to present the explanations (why), the purpose (aims) and the results.

In a presentation, the language used is commonly very simple, much simpler than if we have been writing.

For example:

Motive:

    * We bought the land as a result of we wanted to launch the cash.
    * We closed the offices in London as a result of they were too costly to run.

Function:

    * We set up the group to have a look at possible ways to improve efficiency.
    * We bought the land to get mandatory capital for investment.

Consequence:

          o
We sold the land and had enough cash to invest in new equipment.
          o
We expanded the gross sales network and sales increased.
